Hi, I booked a DVC stay and added a dining plan. I have done online check in but was told I had to check in at the front desk in the morning to activate the dining plan? We were planning to go right to the park. Help!

    Hi Kelsey!

Thanks for stopping by to visit the Disney Vacation Club Moms here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I always recommend doing online check-in prior to your stay. This will allow you to head straight to all the magic of the theme parks without stopping by the front desk of your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Your MagicBand links you to your theme park admissions, Disney Dining Plan Credits, and even opens the door to your resort room!

You’ll be happy to hear that this is also true for Guests staying with Disney Vacation Club. I even called and spoke to Member Services for you just to triple check, in case something changed recently. On the morning of your arrival, simply head directly to your first exciting stop of the day and your Disney Dining Plan Credits will be already loaded onto your MagicBand. I do have one small caution on this statement. Usually credits do not load until approximately 7 am on the morning of check-in. There are some exciting Extra Extra Magic Hours starting on September 1, 2019 for Disney Resort Guests! If you’ll be there bright and early on your first day, and try to get a snack prior to 7 am, you could possibly run into a snag, so just give it a little extra time and you should be good to go!

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
