HI, We have just booked our Disneyworld holiday today!! We have three kids 12,9 and 6 and will be in Disneyworld on New Years Eve and staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins. Where would you recommend to have dinner and to watch fireworks that night?

    Hi Karen!

You are absolutely going to love the Fort Wilderness Cabins! My family stayed there the last time we visited Walt Disney World and my kids thought it was the best resort ever!

They loved the bunk beds, recreation activities, like the archery, and we all loved the pool!

There are so many wonderful places to have dinner at watch the fireworks. New Years Eve is a popular night, so be prepared for crowds. You should definitely arrive early at the park of your choice. You can choose between the Wishes show at Magic Kingdom, Illuminations at Epcot or Fantasmic! at Hollywood Studios.

Reservations for restaurants will also fill up quickly, so definitely plan to call 180 days in advance at exactly 7:00 a.m. to try to get the restaurant of your choice. My top choices are watching Wishes from above the Magic Kingdom at California Grill inside The Contemporary. Note that you won't be in the parks when you dine here, but it is a lovely view from atop the resort.

You can also choose Rose and Crown Pub at Epcot for an excellent view of Illuminations.

You can also choose to eat dinner at your desired location and then go to the beach at Grand Floridian or Polynesian for a beautiful view of the fireworks away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds.

    Magically,
    Stacy
