We are booked on the Disney Wonder, do we go to our room when we board or do we go after the safety drill?

Welcome aboard, Debbie! Getting ready for your upcoming cruise on the Disney Wonder is so exciting, isn't it? You have so much to look forward to!

When you arrive at the port, you will be given a boarding number. Once your boarding number is called, your family is welcome to board the Wonder. As you walk onto the ship, get ready for the royal treatment to begin! There will be Cast Members waiting to greet your family by name, announcing your arrival as you enter the atrium of the ship. The magic will have officially begun!

One of these Cast Members will pull you aside and guide you toward either the Beach Blanket Buffet or Parrot Cay for lunch. Head off to enjoy a wonderful welcome lunch buffet! After that, if you still have time before the staterooms are ready, feel free to wander the ship and explore.

Staterooms are usually ready for guests by about 1:30 or 2, but the Cast Member who greets you upon entering will give you specifics that day. We love to go to our stateroom as soon as it is ready so we can drop off our carry-on luggage and begin to unpack a bit before the safety drill.

The safety drill time will be listed on your Personal Navigator, which is the schedule of daily events and activities. It is usually around 3:45 or 4:00, and lasts about half hour or so. Then, be sure to head up to the pool deck for the Adventures Away Party to celebrate the official beginning of your cruise!

Have a wonderful time on the Wonder, Debbie! Let me know if you have any other questions before you set sail!
