We are booked on the Disney Wonder 7 day Alaskan Cruise. We would like an idea of what the shore excursions would be like. We are traveling with a 10 year old boy. Also, would we really need a verandah?

    Ahoy Renee!

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  Your Alaskan cruise is sure to be a wondrous voyage on the magnificent Disney Wonder! While a verandah is a nice option, it is not necessary.  My family doesn't spend much time in the room so we are able to enjoy the sights and sounds from one of the open air decks.  Disney Cruise Line is offering some fantastic Port Adventures especially designed for their Guests.  Many of the options are family-friendly with a touch of Disney magic sprinkled in. My advice is the filter through the excursions by clicking on Port Adventures then Family Adventures on the left hand side of your screen.

Last summer, DCL Cruise Mom, Andi, made some very informative videos for future Alaskan cruisers like you.  I suggest having a look because it will give you a mom's point of view on what you need to know about your sailing.  It hope it helps with your excursion decisions as well!

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel, Renee!  As you continue to prepare for your voyage, please let me know if I can assist you further!

    Have a "Wonder"ful day!
