Hi, I booked a Disney vacation with the standard meal plan for this year. I have found conflicting information about what is included for a kids quick service meal. Is a drink included with a kids meal at quick service? Thanks!

    Dear Alice,

Hope that you are well, and that you are looking forward to experiencing the magic! I think that you will find the dining plan to be a wonderful feature of your vacation! When you say "standard meal plan," I'm assuming that you mean the 2017 Magic Your Way Plus Quick-Service Dining? Even if you didn't mean that, I think that my advice will apply!

With quick-service kids' meals, a drink such as apple juice, milk, chocolate milk, a soft drink, or water is included for thirsty little ones! It also includes a side like grapes, carrots, cookies, or fries, depending on your child's tastes and the location at which you're eating. Also, those sides are for lunch or dinner meals only, not at breakfast.

Some of my kids' favorite kids' meals are the Chicken Nuggets and Fish at Columbia Harbour House in the Magic KIngdom and the Baked Chicken Drumstick at Flame Tree Barbeque in Disney's Animal Kingdom!

Also, another tip - free tap water is available at any open quick-service restaurant! Just ask a Cast Member and they will happily get you back on track and keep the kids hydrated!

Happy meal planning and enjoy! - Jan K.
