Ahoy, Susan, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited to hear that you're going on a
Halloween on the High Seas cruise aboard the Disney Treasure. Even better, you'll actually be there on Halloween! Thanks for asking your question about attire. I'm happy to help you navigate the
dress code for dinner.
When having dinner in one of the three main rotational dining rooms including
1923,
Plaza de Coco or
Worlds of Marvel, the dress code is considered cruise casual. This means shorts, t-shirts and sundresses are permitted, but swimwear isn't allowed. If you're planning to dine in one of the adult-exclusive restaurants, which for your cruise is
Palo Steakhouse or
Enchante by Chef Arnaud Lallement, formal or semi-formal attire is recommended, although dress-casual is also permitted. Things like swimwear, t-shirts and athletic wear aren't allowed for either venue, and dress shorts aren't permitted at Enchante.
For your cruise, you'll also have a formal night, semi-formal night,
Pirate Night, and a Halloween Night, although themed nights are always optional. This means you can stick with cruise casual for any night, and you won't be out of place at all. For your sailing, formal night is on the 2nd night, and you can dress as formally as you'd like as if Cinderella herself were going to the ball or even just cocktail party attire. Semi-formal night is on night six, and this is when you can dress somewhere between formal and casual. I'll typically choose a dress that I might wear to brunch with friends. For men, slacks and polos are common on this night. Pirate Night is on night four, and this is when crew, characters and Guests alike all get gussied up in their pirate gear for a festive evening, which is capped off by fireworks at sea. Most Guests who choose to dress in pirate attire also wear it to dinner. Finally, unique to Halloween on the High Seas sailings, on night three, you'll have a Halloween Night. Keep in mind this isn't scheduled on the actual day of Halloween on your cruise. This is when everyone can dress up in their Halloween costumes for not-so-frightfully good times. There's trick-or-treating, a deck show and other themed activities. Keep in mind that all of these days are subject to change, but this is when they are currently scheduled for.
Susan, I hope this has been helpful to you and that you have a fantastic cruise. If you have any other planning questions, sail on back to planDisney, and we are always happy to help.
Let your dreams guide you!
