Hi we are all booked for Disney 9/12-9/17! Is the park decorated for Halloween? Is it worth the $ for the Not So Scary Halloween Party? My daughter is 10. Are costumes required for adults & children? I'm not sure if it's something we should do. HELP-Th

Hi Katherine!  September is a great month to visit Disney World!

The first Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is September 11, so the parks should be decorated for Halloween, the Magic Kingdom for sure.

The party is really fun.  My boys love it.  You get to trick-or- treat throughout the park and there are a lot of rides open.  The crowds are usually pretty low, so you can ride many attractions with very short waits.  The highlight of the party is the Halloween (Boo To You) parade.  It features many of the Disney villains, and it is probably my boys favorite Disney parade!  The special fireworks show is great too.

Costumes are totally optional.  My boys have always dressed up, but my husband and I haven't.  There are many adults dressed up though, so if you enjoy that, you should do it!

I think it is worth the money if you can swing it!  The early party dates have a tendency to be even less crowded than the ones closer to Halloween.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
