Welcome aboard, Laura!
My family and I have been on a few
Very Merrytime Cruises with Disney, and they have been some of our favorite sailings! Besides
all that is included in every Disney Cruise Line voyage, there is so much extra magic with Christmas decorations, activities and even more festivities than the other sailings. There's something really magical about holidays at sea with Disney!
The
attire suggestions for Disney's four night sailings include two cruise casual nights, one
Pirate Night (or cruise casual again if you don't want to dress up in your swashbuckling best!), and one Optional Dress Up Night. It's on that Optional Dress Up Night that my family and I would bring our Christmas outfits for some great photos. No one is required to dress up that night, hence the "Optional", but most guests do wear dressier clothes that night, and you will see quite a bit of families in Christmas outfits that night. Depending on how early in the season you're sailing, you may even be able to use those photos for your Christmas cards if you're back home in time! That huge Christmas tree in the atrium is so beautiful and makes for great family photos! Plus, my kids wouldn't want me to forget to tell you that Mickey and his friends are out in their own Christmas outfits at some points in the sailing, so it's really fun to have photos with them too!
Have so much fun planning, Laura, and please stop back with more questions before you set sail. We're happy to help!
