We're booked on Disney Magic from NYC on July 20th. Our youngest is 5 (turning 6 in December) and is a very good swimmer, but I see that the Blue Lagoon Dolphin swim is only for 6 years and up. How strict is that age limit?

    Hey Darren!

Great to hear you are sailing on one of Disney's newest itinerary out of New York City!  The views of the skyline and the Statue of Liberty are going to be spectacular as you sail away on your Bahamian adventure!

The Blue Lagoon Dolphin Swim does sound like an amazing excursion. Unfortunately, the Port Adventures are run by independent operators, and they are not flexible with the age limits.  I'm sure this is disappointing to hear especially since your five year old is a strong swimmer.  The Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Encounter is for ages three and up so that might be another option that could work for the entire family.

Thanks so much for visiting the Moms Panel.  I wish I would have had better news for you!  If you need any more assistance, please don't hesitate to ask!

    Happy Sailing!
