HI there. We have booked our Disney honeymoon for this August, and I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for us.

    Hi Lisa,

    Congratulations on the upcoming wedding.

For a honeymoon, you should focus on relaxation, romance and doing what YOU want to do. Ignore all the things that other people tell you that you "must do" and just do what you want. Sleep until noon. Ride the Haunted Mansion six times in a row and smooch the whole time. Enjoy fine dining. Get a massage. Or go ahead and try every ride in the parks, but make sure it suits your personality.

There are some tips for planning a trip like this on the independent website blog.touringplans.com . Search there for an article called, "Trip Planning 101: Celebrating at Walt Disney World."

One thing that can help you have a great honeymoon is to tell as many people as possible that it is your honeymoon. There are free "Just Married" buttons available at the park guest relations offices and ticket windows. Wear these wherever you go and you'll get lots of friendly congratulations and possibly a few small perks along the way. There are also bride and groom Mickey Ears available that make a great souvenir.

You should also consider springing for lots of PhotoPass photography. These photographers can take pictures of both of you together, which is really what you want from a honeymoon.

Have a great visit and please let us know if you need more help with the planning.
