Welcome aboard, Patricia! The Disney Fantasy is such an amazing ship, and the Eastern Caribbean offers so many exciting ports of call to visit! Plus, you'll get to unpack just once and enjoy your trip to explore all of those beautiful islands!
I completely understand the noise canceling effects of a fan and how nice that can be for sleeping! My kids needed a noise machine or fan on when they were very young, in order to help them sleep too. The good news is that you'll have a few options when you're onboard the Fantasy! I checked the
Prohibited Items List, and you're in luck! Portable fans are permitted in your stateroom, so if you can find a small one that works well for your purposes, bring it along! However, you must contact Guest Services once onboard to have the Chief Electrician approve your fan for safety with the ship's electrical system.
Another option I would like to suggest is downloading a white noise app on your wireless phone. I've seen a few of these apps out there, so do a bit of searching in the App or Android store and see what you can find. I've even seen a few free ones available! Since you're not setting sail for another year, that gives you plenty of time to test out a few of the free ones! You may find that's pretty convenient onboard so you don't have to pack a bulky fan. I promise that you'll want to save all the room in your luggage that you can! There is quite a bit of great
shopping onboard the ship and in the Eastern Caribbean ports, so you'll want some space to bring home some of those "must-have" souvenirs!
I hope those give you a few options to consider this year while you continue planning your cruise, Patricia! We're always here to help, so please stop back with more questions about your magical sailing! Happy planning!
