Hi there, Angie! Thanks so much for sailing by planDisney with your question!
It sounds like you have a Dream-y Halloween on the High Seas cruise coming up. What a fun time to be onboard the Disney Dream! You were smart to book your pre-cruise stay at the
Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina. It’s a beautiful spot right on the Intracoastal Waterway, and one of the few hotels in the area where Disney Cruise Line offers ground transfers to Port Everglades. To get those transfers added to your reservation, just
give Disney Cruise Line a call directly. The cost from the hotel to the port is currently $21 per guest ages 3 and up (prices subject to change).
When I spoke with a DCL agent, she said they will pick up your luggage from your room early in the morning, around 8 AM, and then you will meet in the lobby closer to 10:00 AM to head to the port. The terminal is super close, so the ride is quick, and Disney makes it so easy. They will walk you right into the terminal to check in, so no waiting in line, and you won't have to worry about choosing a Port Arrival Time either, since that’s all taken care of when you use Disney’s transfers. You’ll get an email from Disney about 48 hours before your sail date with exact timing and instructions for the morning of embarkation.
Also, my friend
Dustin wrote a great answer on this topic over at planDisney, and I think you’d enjoy reading his take too!
I hope this helps you feel more prepared and even more excited, Angie!
"Sea" ya real soon,
