We are booked for a cruise in May and plan on visiting the parks after our cruise. How do they choose the family that helps with opening ceremonies at Magic Kingdom? Thank you,

Hi Regina! A cruise and a Disney vacation sounds so amazing right now! Disney is reknowned for spreading its magic, and what makes it even more magical is we don't know where or when we'll be sprinkled with pixie dust. Sometimes, a family is chosen to help open the Magic Kingdom - truly an honour! I've heard different stories on this one. I've heard of people getting asked in advance, or from people who have been at the Magic Kingdom bright and early and mentioned it to a cast member. Wish I could give you something more definite!

Hopeing you're sprinkled with pixie dust Regina!
