Welcome aboard, Tiffany! Last year, my husband and I booked a last minute cruise on the
Disney Dream just over a week before it sailed too! What a wonderful surprise. You've got a lot to look forward to over the next few days as you plan this magical getaway!
We found that our
luggage tags and cruise packet did not arrive in time at our home since we booked so late, and when I spoke with the agents at Disney Cruise Line, they instructed us to simply pick up tags at the port. It was super easy because we arrived and were able to check our bags at the curb where the porters had blank tags ready for us to fill in. We put our names and stateroom number of the tags, and waved goodbye to our luggage, hoping we'd see it again. Sure enough, Disney takes great care of guests' luggage, whether it has a printed or handwritten tag, and our bags were delivered to our stateroom later that afternoon. No problems at all! Just have your stateroom number and reservation number handy as you arrive so you can easily check your bags and check in.
With just a few days left until you sail, be sure you have completed your
online check-in so you're ready to go. You'll also have access, under
My Cruise Activities as you check in online, to book any extras like
Port Adventures, that you might like to enjoy during your trip. There, you'll also get to select a Port Arrival Time so that Disney knows when to expect you to arrive at Port Canaveral next week. Then, show up, drop off your bags, make your way through security, up the escalator to check in, and it'll be time to board the ship! Have such a magical adventure at sea, Tiffany!
