Welcome Aboard, Carolina!
Just being onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship is a luxury vacation! There have been times that our family hasn't even gotten off the ship in a port and we still had a lovely day and a wonderful vacation!
The Western Caribbean 7-Night itinerary is my absolute favorite. If you can do just ONE Port Adventure, I would highly recommend the "
Island Tour and Snorkeling with Stingrays" in George Town, Grand Cayman. This tour would take your family to the rock formation know as "Hell", then to the Cayman Islands Turtle Farm, where your daughters might get the chance to hold a baby sea turtle. Then, off to the Stingray Sandbar to interact with these sea creatures in their natural habitat. My daughters absolutely loved this Port Adventure.
On
Castaway Cay, Disney's amazing Private Island paradise, there is a long stretch of while sand beach where your family can relax and enjoy a lazy day. If you bring your own snorkel equipment, it doesn't cost anything to head out into the Snorkel Lagoon to search for the underwater treasures together. Be sure to head over to the pavilion for the crab races, too! They are hilarious.
There is a large shopping mall in Cozumel that our family spent a couple of hours wandering around. We even managed to find a few Mexican treasures there. Then, we went back to the nearly empty ship to enjoy the short lines for the
AquaDuck and watch the movie in the Buena Vista Theatre.
I hope this helps with your cruise planning on the gorgeous Disney Fantasy! Please visit us here again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions before you set sail!
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
