We booked a cruise on the Disney Dream going to the Bahamas. Our kids will be 4, 6 & 8 at the time of the cruise. Do you have any excursions in the Bahamas you can recommend that the kids will enjoy?

Welcome aboard, Karen! Your family has so much magic in store when you set sail on the Disney Dream! Nassau boasts quite a few amazing Port Adventures with Disney, so you'll have plenty to choose from! Many guests feel they absolutely cannot leave Nassau without visiting The Atlantis Resort. It is a pretty impressive place! Disney offers lots of Port Adventures there. If you want to swim with dolphins, they offer both a swim and a shallow water encounter. My family has also enjoyed the Atlantis Beach Day & Discover Atlantis tour which not only lets you explore the really cool underground aquarium that feels like you've discovered the Lost City itself, but you'll also have beach access for the day. If you want to save money, skip the beach part and simply take the Discover Atlantis tour, which will certainly keep you busy exploring for the day. Plus, since you'll have the best beach day at Castaway Cay, you won't miss out!
Blue Lagoon in Nassau also has some great adventures. My daughter and I had the best dolphin swim there, but also just enjoying a relaxing and fun day at that beautiful island beach is a great way to spend the day.

At Castaway Cay, you could go the entire day without doing a Port Adventure. You can participate in all of the included activities like character dance parties, crab races, a family whale archeology dig, swimming and sliding at Pelican Plunge, splashing at Spring-A-Leak, and of course playing at the beach. But, if you want more fun, the simply pleasures there are my favorite. Renting bikes to explore the island's bike paths is so fun, as is snorkeling in the snorkel lagoon to spot some underwater hidden Mickey's! But, Castaway Ray's Stingray Adventure (for five and up) might be a lot of fun for your older kiddos! I love interacting with those beautiful stingrays!

I hope those ideas are a good starting point for you, Karen! Happy planning!
