Welcome aboard, Tracee! Congratulations on booking your very first Disney Cruise!
While you are at Walt Disney World, you'll find
Photopass Photographers throughout the parks and resorts ready to snap your family's photo as you enjoy the fun. You can pre-purchase a PhotoPass cd, or simply purchase a photo or two individually while you are at the park from your Photopass. The Photopass is free and you can view those photos at the park on online once you're back home, then decide which to purchase. However, if you think you'll be wanting most of the photos and plan on taking as many as possible, including on the attractions like Splash Mountain and Space Mountain, you might consider the Photopass Plus, which includes attraction and dining photos as well as the regular Photopass pictures.
Once you are onboard the ship, however, the
photography services are separate than the resort Photopass. Perhaps one day they will offer a combined package, but they currently do not. On the ships, your Key To The World card will serve as your Photopass, linking all photos to your stateroom. You can visit Shutters throughout the cruise to view your photos, purchase individual shots or packages, including photo cd's.
There are photographers at almost every character Meet n' Greet on the Dream, as well as at other photo opportunities in the atrium each night. You'll find different backdrops for photos each night and I love that the characters change outfits depending on that night's theme (a tuxedo for Mickey on formal night, pirate gear for Minnie on Pirate Night, and more!).
One thing is for sure, Tracee. You won't be short on photo opportunities at the parks or on the ship. Have fun as you continue to plan your Surf and Turf vacation!
