Hi Moms. booked back-to-back (03/12/16&03/19/16). Same stateroom. What can we expect on debarking 1st cruise & re-boarding for the second week? Has anyone done this? Thanks.

    Ahoy, Linda!

You are one smart sailor! Booking the same stateroom back-to-back cruises is definitely the way to go! My husband and I did this last October on the Disney Magic, and it was wonderful!

The first thing you should know is that you won't have to pack ANYTHING after your first cruise. You will simply leave all of your things unpacked in your stateroom while everyone else is scrambling to get packed up on that final night. (This alone is worth doing back-to-back!) You will receive a letter in your stateroom that evening about how to go about things in the morning.

Most likely, you will meet a crew member at a designated spot (ours was the Walt Disney Theater) in the morning. They will give a brief talk about the process of going through customs, which is fast because you have no luggage. On our back-to-back, we were in San Juan, PR for the day, so we chose to leave the terminal and venture out to sightsee for a bit before returning to the Magic. If you are going to be in Port Canaveral, there really isn't anything close by to walk to, so you will probably get off of the ship and then wait for a short time in the concierge waiting area in the terminal before being allowed to re-board.

It is a very smooth process and you will be back onboard to enjoy a nearly empty pool before you know it! I hope to do another back-to-back soon.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
