    I just booked out April 2014 trip last night We are planning on revealing our trip on Xmas morning to our kids who are 12 and 7 and wondered if you had an suggestions as to how to surprise the kids seeing the age difference to make it fun for both?

    Hi, Danielle!  One of the things my girls had the most fun with was a scavenger hunt.  They opened a gift under the tree addressed to each of them, and inside was a clue to another hidden present.  Each present had a clue specific to one of the girls - like clue 1 was for the oldest, clue 2 for the middle one to solve, and then an easy clue for the youngest, who was about three the last time I did this.  The clues were things I didn't think they could figure out right away - like trivia about the theme parks, but with directions to the next box.  The last gift had three smaller boxes inside with the big reveal - pictures of Mickey that were marked with "You're going to Disney World!"

    Another great idea is a story.  You can write it on the computer, add some clip art, and wrap it in a present.  The story can include things about both of your kids, and what they might be interested in, and end with the family going to Walt Disney world.  Then there can be a secret ending, especially for them, that springs the trip on them.

    I have also wrapped all sorts of Disney themed gifts and put them under the tree and in their stockings, then at the end of the present opening, said something like, "What are we going to do with all those Disney gifts?"  That's when we announced the trip!  

    Whatever way you choose to make the announcement, I hope the kids love the surprise!
