Just booked AoA suite for April 2017 for our family of 5. Have 3 teens. After reading about AoA, we are concerned that the resort will be too babyish for our big kids. Need extra space but want them to be happy with our choice. Any suggestions?

    Hi, Tom!
Thanks for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I can totally see why you would be concerned. Disney's Art of Animation Resort is full of immersive experiences based on some popular Pixar animated movies.

If your teens are not impressed by Disney magic, there might be some eye rolling when they hear seagulls yell out, "Mine! Mine!" Or they may not be impressed when they walk by Scar from The Lion King.

I love it! Getting a chance to swim in a pool surrounded by what feels like the Cozy Cone Motel from the movie, Cars, was so fun. Swimming in the Big Blue Pool with Nemo and friends is a great experience. The only younger kid-specific locations at the resort are a splash pad area near the Big Blue Pool and a few playgrounds scattered around the property. The resort gives you a feeling that you are actually inside the movies. It is worth taking the time to tour the resort property. There is a lot of amazing thought put into every detail to create the resort. You may consider talking to Cast Members to learn some of the stories of the lobby and different buildings. There are some cool facts that your kids may enjoy learning!

The family suites are spacious, and I think your kids will enjoy everything it offers. They won't be disappointed. Even the food area has a delicious collection of meal options that appeals to the young and old.

I'm excited about your trip! I wish I could be there when your family arrives so I could watch your kids' reactions! You're going to have a fabulous time!

Let me know if I can help with any additional questions!
