Booked Alaska 2027 cruise. Will have scooter. Need to know best possible way to get from airport to hotel & to ship (Wonder). Can you also recommend a hotel with nice ADA accommodations? Living in FL we usually sail Caribbean. Trying new adventure

Ahoy there, Elizabeth. I'm thrilled to welcome you aboard planDisney!

How incredibly exciting that you’ll be sailing aboard the Disney Wonder for an unforgettable Alaskan adventure in summer 2027! While it may seem like that voyage is a long way off, the countdown has a funny way of speeding up once you start planning. And before you know it, you’ll be taking in those breathtaking glacier views.

I love that you’re already thinking ahead and getting organized. That kind of preparation really makes the experience even more enjoyable and stress-free. Planning a Disney Cruise is part of the fun, and there are so many details to look forward to along the way. From port adventures to onboard activities and everything in between. I’m so glad you stopped by with your question!

When sailing out of Vancouver, Disney Cruise Line recommends three hotel options: Fairmont Vancouver Airport, Fairmont Waterfront, and Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver. One of the biggest perks of staying at one of these properties is the convenience of adding Disney Cruise Line ground transfers. For an additional fee, you can arrange transportation from Vancouver International Airport to your hotel, from your hotel to the cruise port, and from the port back to the airport after your sailing.

To add these transfers, you’ll simply need to call Disney Cruise Line directly. When you do, be sure to let them know there will be a scooter in your travel party so they can arrange accessible transportation for you.

As for choosing the right hotel, my research shows that all three properties offer ADA-accessible accommodations. That said, it’s always a good idea to contact the hotel directly when booking to confirm specific room features and ensure everything meets your needs for a smooth and comfortable stay.

If you haven’t done so already, I highly recommend downloading the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to your mobile device. This app will quickly become your go-to planning tool both before and during your sailing.

In the months leading up to your cruise, you can use it to view your reservation details, complete online check-in when your window opens, browse Port Adventures, and even book onboard activities and adult dining (once your booking window is available). Once you’re onboard, the app transforms into your daily guide, featuring the schedule of activities, showtimes, dining locations, deck plans, and even a helpful chat feature to stay connected with your travel party. It’s truly one of the easiest ways to stay organized and make the most of every magical moment at sea.

Elizabeth, I hope this information is helpful as you continue mapping out your adventure. If any other questions come up along the way, please know you’re always welcome to sail back and visit us at planDisney. We’re happy to help every step of the journey!

    Seas the day,
