How do I book the World of Color Dessert Party when I have an infant, child and 2 adults? When I select 4 guests then designate the ages I don’t have an option to select infant. If I enter 2 adults and 1 child, I can’t go to the next screen.

Hi Rindy! Welcome to planDisney. The World of Color Happiness Dessert Party is such a wonderful way to experience this nighttime spectacular. My family loved being able to relax with snacks and drinks while enjoying the show from a reserved viewing area.

I actually called the Disneyland Help line and spoke with a helpful Cast Member named Joseph, who confirmed that Guests under age 3 do not need to be included in the reservation count for prepaid dining experiences like the World of Color Dessert Party. For your reservation, you would only include the 2 adults and 1 child. Infants only need to be included for standard sit-down dining reservations that are not prepaid experiences.

I also wanted to share a helpful tip about arrival and check-in for the dessert party. Mobile check-in becomes available in the Disneyland app beginning about two hours before your reservation time. Keep in mind that the reservation time listed is when your table will be ready, not the actual start time for World of Color Happiness!

Once you’ve checked in through the app, you’re free to continue enjoying Disney California Adventure Park until you receive a text notification that your table is ready. When that message arrives, you can head to the illuminated Dessert Party check-in sign, which is typically located in Paradise Gardens near The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure.

After you’re seated, you can settle in with your desserts and drinks while Paradise Bay comes alive with fountains, music, projections, and colorful effects. It really is such a relaxing way to end a Disney day.

Rindy, I hope this helps you secure your reservation and feel ready for a fantastic evening at Disney California Adventure. If any other planning questions come up before your visit, please stop by planDisney again.

Wishing you sweet treats, great views, and a spectacular night by the water!
