Maria from AZ Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hi, when you book a VIP tour is reserved seating for any parades or firework shows automatically included regardless of the timing? For example, if we book for 7 hours, but our tour ends before the events start, do we still get reserved seating? Thanks!

Welcome back to planDisney, Maria! Even a single day at the Disneyland Resort can be packed with enchantment, and I completely understand wanting to make the most of every moment. I’m so glad you stopped by with your question.

As you may know, A VIP Tour guide can be a truly special way to experience Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Each guide acts as a friendly Disney expert and "personal concierge,” ensuring your visit is filled with the hospitality Disney is known for. With a VIP Tour, you can create a personalized itinerary, giving you the chance to enjoy your favorite attractions and shows. I called the VIP Tour help line and spoke with Catherine, who confirmed that you can return after your tour ends for your reserved seating for the parades or fireworks shows. You do not need to schedule your tour to include these showtimes. However, Catherine also recommended that you speak with the VIP Tour help at least 30 days in advance to book your seating for the entertainment to ensure you have the most options.

One of my fellow panelists, Carrie, experienced a VIP Tour and shared that the stories and fun Easter Eggs their guide provided were a particular highlight for her. As you prep for your adventure, here are a few additional notes: VIP Tours don’t include park admission, so you’ll need to purchase your tickets separately. That said, once your tour is confirmed, the team will handle your park reservations for you and your group. Keep in mind that just like a regular day in the parks, these tours involve quite a bit of walking. Comfortable footwear is a must, though complimentary strollers or wheelchairs may be available to help out younger or less mobile guests.

Also, If you're looking for an alternate location to view Paint the Night, I have a favorite to share. Try the area just across from the entrance to “it’s a small world.” It’s a charming and often less crowded spot to watch the first parade of the night. Bonus? You won’t need to move afterward. Just stay put for Wondrous Journeys and enjoy back-to-back nighttime magic!

And while you’re there, don’t miss A Tapestry of Happiness. This vibrant projection show on the “it’s a small world” façade celebrates Disneyland’s past and present with music and visuals that strike the perfect nostalgic note. It’s a highlight of the 70th Anniversary offerings and has quickly become one of my personal favorites.

I hope this helps you prepare for a magical day at the Disneyland Resort, Maria! If any more questions pop up, you know where to find us. We’re always happy to help at planDisney.

    Wishing you pixie-dusted memories,
    David
