If I book a vacation for May 15-24, and then I can’t go, can I change the date to a later time (end of June)?

Hi, Shelley! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. I am so glad to hear you are planning well in advance for your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I firmly believe there is no such thing as "too early" when planning for a vacation. It just gives you more time to discover exactly what will make your vacation practically perfect in every way.

You are welcome to go ahead and book your Disney Resort Hotel room or Disney Resort Hotel Package for a 2020 visit. This will give you plenty of time to make payments towards the vacation and make the magic totally your way. If you find that you do need to modify your trip dates, there are a few other dates you will need to keep in mind. Most Disney Resort Hotel reservations that include a room only can be modified up to five days prior to the check-in date. Guests can modify most Disney Resort Hotel Packages, which can include their choice of room, Disney Theme Park Tickets, Disney Dining Plan, and other extras, can be modified up to 30 days before the check-in date as long as final payment has not been made. Also note that if you have applied a Special Offer to either type of reservation, you may end up losing that offer if you modify the dates of your stay. The best way to determine the "how and when" timeframe of modifying your vacation dates is to read all of the information provided at the time of booking or ask the Cast Member assisting you if you call in to complete the booking. You may want to jot that information down and even put it in your calendar.

Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions!
