If we book a trip to WDW and a WDW cruise, is it cheaper to book it as a combo land + sea vs seperately? Is November a good time to book a cruise weather wise? We have never cruised, looking at 3 or 4 days with days @ WDW pre and post cruise. Thanks!

    Hi Roxanne, and welcome back!

When booking a land and sea vacation with Disney, you have a number of options. You should find the cost to be the same no matter how you book the trip, with one exception which I'll mention in a moment.

Call Disney Cruise Line once you're ready to book your cruise and resort stay. They will be able to assist you with reserving your cruise, resort stay, park tickets and ground transportation. If you wish to include the Disney Dining Plan with your resort stay, you will need to book the resort portion of your vacation separately.

If you see a special promotion for one of the Walt Disney World resorts, that too, can only be booked through the resorts, not through Disney Cruise Line. Booking separately is not that difficult, and can be worth it if you want to save a bit of money when taking advantage of a special resort promotion or if you think the Dining Plan will be right for your family.

November is a great time to cruise! I see you're from the far north, so you'll find it wonderfully warm onboard the ships down south and at the ports of call. I always suggest bringing a sweater or light jacket to keep you warm on breezy sea days, but believe me, when I leave chilly Ohio for a cruise in the Caribbean, I'm happy to leave the winter coats behind! Also, November is the very end of the typical hurricane season in the Caribbean, so you should find the waters to be perfect for sailing.

Let me know if there are any other questions you have as you plan your "surf and turf" vacation with Disney, Roxanne! I'm happy to help!
