    If I book my trip now for September 2012 and the free dining dates are released, will I be able to take advantage of the free dining? I would like to book ASAP so that I get the resort that I want but I know there is usually free dining dates in September

    Hi Christy! September is one my favorite months to travel to Walt Disney World.  Crowd levels are much lower than in the summer, the weather is slightly cooler, and of course, the Food and Wine Festival is in full gear at Epcot! If you have booked your vacation package, and a free dining promo is released, you will be able to change your reservation to one including free dining.  Please keep in mind that free dining is a very popular promo that has been offered periodically throughout previous years.  There are a limited number of rooms per resort that are allocated for special offers, and it is essentially a first come, first serve basis.  Although you may want to book your resort now, to "hold" a room per se, there is no guarantee that there will be rooms available at that resort that are "free-dining" rooms.

    My suggestion would be to stay tuned to the Special Offers page of the Walt Disney World website to see if a free dining offer is released.  Then you can call Guest Services to amend your reservation.
