Hello Haley, welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for asking a great question about using
Disney Vacation Club Points to book a vacation, I'm always happy to connect with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member!
One of the things my family loves most about our Disney Vacation Club Membership is its incredible flexibility. Over the past twelve years, we’ve stayed at various DVC resorts, including the DVC Beach Resorts, and we’re excited for many more adventures to come. With your Disney Vacation Club Points, you can book a stay at any DVC Resort. You can also convert your
Vacation Points to Reservation Points to enjoy stays at non-DVC resorts, allowing you to experience different locations and discover new places. Through the
Disney Collection exchange, DVC Members can stay at a wide range of Disney Resorts, whether at Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, or even at Disney Parks in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Paris.
If you are considering using your Disney Vacation Club Points for a stay at Disney's All Star Music Resort, you'll need to book directly with DVC
Member Services since the resort is a part of the Disney Collection Exchange. When converting Vacation Points to Reservation Points, it's important to note that there is a $95 non-refundable transaction fee (prices are subject to change without notice) for each confirmed exchange reservation. If the reservation is cancelled, the Points will remain in the current Use Year. The
Rule of Four also would apply meaning reservations must be made prior to the last four months of your Use Year (stays must be during that Use Year). If you're considering converting your Vacation Points to Reservation Points, I recommend reviewing the
Points Charts to explore the number of Points required for your vacation.
Haley, I hope this information is useful to your vacation planning. If you have any other DVC or vacation planning questions, please revisit us at

Welcome Home,
Candace
