How do I book shows on the ship

    Hi there, Laura!

Welcome to planDisney! I always love helping out a fellow Georgian with cruise plans. I'm excited for you to embark on your Disney Cruise Line voyage with Captain Mickey!

One reason my family loves to sail with Disney Cruise Line is the amazing Broadway-style shows shown in the Walt Disney Theatre. We love seeing our favorite Disney stories come to life with an incredible cast of main-stage performers. They are so talented, and I'm always in awe of how they can perform flawlessly on a moving ship. During your cruise, you can expect three shows that will be performed opposite your dining time. So if you have first seating, you'll see the show after dinner around 8:15 or 8:30 pm, and if you have second seating, you'll see the show before dinner around 6:00 or 6:15 pm. No reservations are required for the Walt Disney Theatre, but I do recommend you arrive at least 20-25 minutes early to secure your desired location and even earlier if it's one of Disney Cruise Line's newer shows like "Disney The Tale of Moana" on the Disney Treasure. There are times when Disney Cruise Line offers a matinee alongside the evening schedule. Once you connect to the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, either at the cruise terminal or onboard, you'll be able to navigate to each day's plans by selecting "Explore" to see the exact times for the shows. Those are typically "favorited" for you, and you'll receive a reminder 15 minutes beforehand if you forget.

So you'll know what to expect, the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder have all the seating on one level of the theatre, while the rest of the fleet offers balcony seating as well. You can enter both on the port and starboard sides of the ship on each level. If your sailing is longer than four nights, you may also have Guest entertainers in the Walt Disney Theatre as your nightly show. These acts are always family-friendly and have provided my crew with so many laughs over the years. I always recommend going to these as part of your vacation experience.

Thank you for visiting planDisney, Laura! We hope you'll sail back over if you have any other questions about your Disney vacation plans. We'd love to help again.
