If I book a room using my FL resident discount, does enrollee who is staying in the room need to be a FL resident?

    Hello neighbor!

One of the best advantages of living in Florida is being Mickey & Minnie's neighbor (and the pixie-dusted discounts that come with it)! I love that you want to take advantage of that and treat yourself and your friends to a magical visit.

Currently, Florida residents can get up to a 30% discount on select hotels through the summer. If you aren't already an Annual Passholder, you can add discounted theme park tickets to your hotel stay, so I definitely understand why you are taking advantage of this fantastic offer. In order to get the Florida Resident discount on the resort stay, you have to show proof of residency at check-in, so the Sunshine State resident needs to stay in the hotel room.

There are a couple of ways to show proof of residency, including:
-Valid Florida Driver's License or a Florida state-issued ID card (showing your Florida address)
    -Valid Florida-based Military ID

If you don't have one of those, you can use:
-Mortgage statements (must be <2 months old).
-Bills, Policies, or Registration (i.e., automobile registration, insurance policy or statement from utilities, insurance, etc., again, <2 months old and cannot be addressed to a P.O. Box).
-Mail from a certified institution such as a bank or federal or state agency with your name and address.

Megan, if you don't have a Florida-issued ID, there is no need to bring the paper version of proof to your hotel check-in; current statements and bills printed from an electronic version or your smartphone are acceptable. If you have any other questions, you know where to find us. See ya real soon!
