How do I book room only reservation?

    Tracy,

Thanks for your question to planDisney!

This is going to be easy, I promise. I make such reservations all the time, and you can as well.

    1. When you are looking at the Walt Disney World website, start by exploring a listing of all the Disney Resort Hotels.
    2. When you find your 'home-away-from-home' resort choice, click to that resort's page.
    3. The second tab at the top of the resort page, directly above the resort photo gallery, is "Room Rates".
    4. From there select the room type that matches your vacation need by clicking on the "Check Availability" button on the right.
    5. Enter your planned vacation dates, your party size, and click enter.
At this point you should see all the purchase options available for this room, on these dates. In all cases there should be both a "Room" option, and a "Package" option. There could also be other offers, dependent upon whatever promotional programs might be in place at the time. But the first choice, "Room", is the one for you. This will let you see pricing without any tickets or other items.

    BONUS TIP
Sometimes, rather than drilling down to one resort to search for a specific room, I like to search based on my dates across all resort options. You can do that if, when you are on that all-resorts page that I mentioned in step 1 above, you enter the vacation dates and party information. It will return all resorts available based on those parameters to the top of the page. Not all resorts listed may have the specific room type you want, but when you proceed from there you will still get those different booking options.
