Christina,
Thanks for visiting planDisney!
Based on your question, I think you are asking about the
Disney Magical Express program. This complimentary service for Disney Resort Hotel guests used to provide bus transportation between the Orlando International Airport and the guest's respective resort hotel.
Unfortunately the Disney Magical Express program is no longer active, having concluded at the end of 2021. There are, however, a number of transportation options from the airport to Walt Disney World resort hotels. With shuttles, ride share services, cabs, rental cars and even car services, there are choices to meet every need and budget. Here are some of your options
Shuttle Services: Several Magical Express-like services like Mears Connect have come in to fill the gap. This style of luxury bus service is one of the more affordable options, and you would not have to take car seats.
Ride Share / Taxis: Ride share services like Uber & Lyft, as well as taxis are obvious choices. Some have car seats and some do not, so be sure to select appropriately, and know that they will be more expensive than the larger shuttle services.
Rental Car: Of course you can rent a car. But the cost can be high, and you will need to take your car seats.
Car Service: Most think that a car service is out of their budget. But when you book round trip the cost may be more comparable to these other options than you might think. Many offer child seats if requested in advance, and many also offer a 30-minute stop on your arrival leg at no charge. You can stop at a local grocery store to stock up on some in-room essentials that would otherwise cost a lot at the resort, and maybe are not ideal to pack in your luggage.
BONUS TIPMy family prefers options where we don't have a car sitting in a parking lot, mostly unused. We like taking so many of the
Disney on-property transportation options. My kids love zipping around on the
monorail, soaring on the
Disney Skyliner, as well as sailing on the
boats around
EPCOT and the
Magic Kingdom Park areas.
I hope that this helps in your planning. Write us back if you have other questions!
Have a Magical Vacation!Doug
