Hello Donna!
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! As a
Disney Vacation Club Member myself, one of the many reasons we became Members was that we wanted to be able to share our love of Disney vacations, and our vacation time, with friends and family. This summer we brought one of my dear friends from college, and watching her kids delight in the magic of the
Walt Disney World Resort made our trip even more special.
Donna, it’s easy to make a reservation for family and friends. You may call Member Services, or use the online booking tool. When you go to book online, typically the system will autofill you in as Guest 1, but no worries, just delete your name on that line and type in the primary Guest for your family’s room. You’ll need their name, phone, and mailing address, as well as that information for all other Guests in the room, and the ages of any children in the room. And that’s it! Complete the reservation just like you would for yourself, and they are booked! You can give them the reservation number at that time that they can enter it into their My Disney Experience Account and begin planning all the fun details of their visit!
Do know that even though they are booked with your Membership since they are not Members themselves, they aren’t able to take advantage of any Member discounts or perks unless you are there with them and show a blue Membership Card. The only exception to this is that they will receive
included overnight parking at the resort since the room is booked with Vacation Points.
Donna, I hope this helps you to be able to book that room for your family and that you all have a wonderful vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Wishing you
Membership Magic!- Kate
