Welcome Home, Deborah, and thanks so much for coming to see us at planDisney! It's always the best day ever when I get to chat with a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member! Since you're hoping to visit
Disneyland Resort next week, time is of the essence - so let's get right to it!
Since you're just over a week out, options are likely limited for a DVC booking. I searched for availability at
The Villas at Disneyland Hotel and
The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and all types of accommodations are currently showing as
Waitlist only. Since Waitlists are set to expire either 14 or 7 days before check-in, the stars will likely not align for a DVC resort on such short notice.
Another option is to use points to stay at one of the non-DVC hotels at Disneyland. Members may exchange
Vacation Points for Reservation Points for stays at
Disney Collection hotels - it expands your lodging options well beyond your Home Resort! To initiate an exchange, call
Member Services for a friendly assist. They will be able to see if there are rooms available and handle the transaction to exchange your points. Keep in mind that any points exchange carries a one-time, non-refundable fee (currently $95, subject to change)!
Deborah, there are also many
Good Neighbor hotels in the area that are close to the parks that could work well for you if the on-property resorts are booked up. They range from "Moderate" to "Superior" in terms of the accommodations offered, and can be a great option if you belong to a particular hotel loyalty program and have some points available!
I hope that you're able to enjoy The Happiest Place on Earth next week - it's a great time to visit! If you have any other questions about how to make the most of your time at Disneyland, please don't hesitate to come see us again. We're always happy to help!
Stay Magical,
Susan
