Howdy, Kelli, and welcome to the wildest campground in the wilderness! Fort Wilderness that is! I'm excited about your upcoming roundup at
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. I have a campsite reserved this fall and cannot wait! One of my favorite parts of staying there is taking the
water taxi from the resort to
Magic Kingdom Park. With the breeze in my hair and the gorgeous water view, I always feel like that ride is my first attraction of the day. But let's make sure you have the best spot to pitch your tent, so to speak!
The Preferred Campsites have a 10' by 45' concrete pad to accommodate RVs and travel trailers. If you feel that pad isn't large enough for your camper, then you can check availability for a larger site. It looks like the Full Hook-Up Campsites have a concrete pad that's 10' by 50', so that would give you a little more length. If you need an even larger space, then the Premium Campsites offer concrete pads that are 18' by 60'. These campsites I've mentioned offer hookups for water, electricity, and sewer.
Kelli, as of now, I checked your arrival date, and I saw there is
some availability for those larger campsites. You can make the change online if you see a "Change Reservation" link in your My Disney Experience. But since you'd also like to request a specific loop, I suggest you call the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line to make changes and requests. Even though there is no guarantee you'll get a specific loop or site, I've found that Cast Members will try their best to grant those types of requests based on availability.
I hope your visit to the wild west of Walt Disney World Resort is a rootin' tootin' good time, Kelli! Stop back by planDisney if you have any other questions. I'm somewhat of an expert in making 'smores!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
