What if I book a Plaza Inn Dining Package but there is no parade scheduled for that day? Reservations are available sooner than the Events Calendar is updated.

Welcome to planDisney, Loveen! Securing a dining package reservation is such a smart step in planning your Disneyland Resort vacation. I’d be glad to help you move forward with your Plaza Inn Paint the Night dining experience with a bit more confidence.

I spoke with a helpful Cast Member, Diane, at Disneyland Resort Guest Information, and she shared that the Paint the Night parade is currently scheduled to run until November and will return in early 2026. If the parade happens to be cancelled, you’ll still be able to keep your Plaza Inn reservation. However, if you cancel on the day of, there is a $10 per person cancellation fee. To avoid that, I recommend checking the Daily Events Schedule the day before your reservation so you’ll know if any changes have been made.

If you’d like an alternative viewing spot, I have a Q-Tip for you: head toward the entrance of “it’s a small world.” While Main Street fills quickly, this area usually feels calmer and still provides a fantastic view as the glowing floats glide by. Arriving early here not only ensures a great parade spot but also places you perfectly for the evening fireworks. When the last spark fades, stay right where you are to enjoy A Tapestry of Happiness, a new projection spectacular that transforms the “it’s a small world” façade into a vibrant moving storybook of Disneyland history. It’s a beautiful finale to a magical night.

And since you’ll be visiting during Halloween Time, you’ll also get to experience the park dressed in its seasonal best. Main Street shines with cheerful jack-o’-lanterns and fall garlands, while Haunted Mansion Holiday mixes fright and festivity with Jack Skellington’s whimsical touch. If you’re nearby at dusk, keep an eye out for Jack’s special “lighting ceremony.” It’s a little moment of Halloween magic you won’t want to miss.

Loveen, I hope this helps you plan your evening at Disneyland. Whether you’re dining at Plaza Inn, watching a parade, or soaking in the Halloween atmosphere, you’ll be surrounded by music, lights, and that special wonder that makes Disneyland nights unforgettable. If you have any more questions, please know that all of us at planDisney are happy to help.

Wishing you a truly magical evening,
    David
