Bonjour, Diamond!
Thanks for being our guest at planDisney. I had a similar question when I booked my family's visit to
Disneyland Paris earlier this year. I initially wanted a two-night hotel reservation with 2 days of park admission, but the package kept defaulting to 3 days' worth of tickets no matter what I tried. In the end, this proved to be a better value than purchasing everything separately, and I enjoyed having the extra day to get our bearings and keep us awake as we attempted to avoid jet lag on our arrival day.
I understand that some of your party members might not plan to spend any time in the parks. If they prefer to enjoy the amenities at the hotel while you enjoy a magical day at Disneyland Park or Walt Disney Studios Park, you can book a resort-only reservation. To do so, you'll
need to contact Disneyland Paris by phone for assistance. I've also seen guests book resort reservations through a third-party site and then purchase tickets separately. However, I recommend reviewing the pricing and associated
cancelation policies carefully as it may be more advantageous to book a package.
Another option would be to book a Hotel + Ticket package for yourself and then add the additional guests to your reservation. An online chat confirmed that you would need to pay hotel taxes for each additional guest if you decided to book this way. I recommend confirming that your room can accommodate your party size before completing your booking as I would hate for you to travel so far and not have accommodations available for everyone in your group.
Disneyland Paris is a truly enchanting destination so I'd encourage everyone in your group to join for at least a few hours each day, if possible. Your Hotel + Ticket package includes unlimited access to both parks each day, so they can come and go as they please should you decide to stay longer than they prefer. If your party members are concerned about
high-thrill attractions, there is plenty to enjoy without boarding any ride vehicles. We loved the
parades and stage shows like
Mickey and the Magician at Walt Disney Studios Park, which are included with the cost of admission. I also loved walking through
Alice's Curious Labyrinth in Fantasyland and exploring all the
beautifully themed lands around Disneyland Park. If all else fails they can still opt for a delicious crepe or a glass of champagne and people watch on Main Street, U.S.A. while you explore.
I hope this was helpful, Diamond. Please come back and see us with more planning questions as you prepare to visit.
Magic and memories,
Amy
