If I book an ‘Ohana dining reservation and our friends are staying at a different Disney Resort, can they park at the Polynesian for our meal? They’ll be on the dining reservation but not on our resort reservation.

Aloha, Bianca, and welcome back to planDisney!

I love hearing that your very own ‘Ohana will be staying at the Polynesian Village Resort very soon. It truly is a gem among the Disney World Resort hotels. Also, two words: DOLE Whip. Getting to eat these day-in and day-out makes the stay worthwhile.

When your advance dining reservation window opens (60 days before your arrival date), prioritize booking ‘Ohana because those breakfast and dinner reservations there go fast. Make sure the number of Guests match how many people will be dining with you—regardless if they’re staying at the Polynesian Village Resort.

In order for your friends to park at the Resort hotel, make sure that at least one of their names is on your dining reservation in your My Disney Experience account. If you aren’t already linked to them, go to the My Disney Experience app, then “Profile,” and scroll down to “Show My Linking Code.” Send your code to your friend so that you can be on each others’ Family & Friends Lists. From there, add them to your dining reservation.

AN EXTRA GEM: My family recently visited Cape May Cafe to have dinner with friends who were staying near the Beach Club Resort. While they were able to walk from their hotel, as locals who weren’t staying on property, we parked our personal vehicle. I showed the parking attendant our dining reservation in my app and my photo ID, and we were good to go! Do keep in mind that your friends may be given a parking time limit. Plan accordingly!

Thanks again for stopping by, Bianca. Please reach out to us here at planDisney if you have any other questions that you’d like to ask. See you real soon!

    Magic always,
