Can I book meals for Christmas Day

    Ailsa,

Thanks for asking your question about planDisney!

Advanced Dining Reservations at Walt Disney World can be made 60 days out, so at this time they are accepting reservations for dates into mid-August. The date that guests can make reservations for December 25, 2023, is on Thursday, October 26, 2023.

There is one caveat. Guests of Walt Disney World resort hotels are allowed to book reservations for up to 10 days of their trip, starting on that first available date. So, as an example, if someone were staying at Walt Disney World as a guest at one of the Disney Resort Collections hotels starting on December 16, 2023, not only could they make dining reservations for their first day of holiday on October 17th, but they would be able to make dining reservations also for other days of their vacation as far forward as December 25th.

    BOTTOM LINE
For you, if you are not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, or if December 25th is your arrival date, you can start booking reservations on October 26th. If you check in earlier than December 25th, you may be able to get a jump on things, and you now have the information to calculate your date to request a reservation.

    BONUS TIP #1
Christmas Day is an extremely busy day at Walt Disney World. Make sure to secure dining reservations on the earliest day that you can book them, so you are not shut out of a preferred meal. I always recommend making your dining reservations online, as it seems to be faster than other methods.

    BONUS TIP #2
In addition to having a plan for what you want to book, make sure you have second-choice backups in case your first-choice restaurant is not available.

    BONUS TIP #3
Dining in theme parks is always popular, so consider restaurants at Disney resort hotels that are adjacent to parks. Restaurants at some of the monorail resorts outside of Magic Kingdom, or along the Disney Skyliner route that are easily reached from both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios can be great choices.

If you write me back with some ideas about what you like to eat, and where you will be, I would be glad to offer some suggestions.

    Have a Magical Vacation!

    Doug
