Hello - is there a way to book a Magic Kingdom dessert party and not have it show up in your parties MDE accounts? We are looking to treat the birthday girl so want it to be a surprise :)

Hello, Kristin! Ready to begin? Welcome to planDisney where we love helping guests plan magical Walt Disney World Resort vacations. I recently experienced a dessert party at Magic Kingdom Park and enjoyed watching Happily Ever After. So, let's talk about some sneaky ways to book this for your party!

Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties can be booked 60 days before arrival, so you'll be within that window soon. Although you can book this experience online, I suggest you call (407) 939-7529 for assistance. Helpful Cast Members are available seven days a week from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM EST.

I chatted with a Cast Member about your request to keep the reservation out of your account so that it will be a surprise, and she said you might need to provide an email address that isn't associated with a My Disney Experience account. The Cast Member said you'll get a confirmation number, which you'll show at the Tomorrowland Terrace when you check in for the party. Be sure to have a photo ID, as well, since the reservation should be linked to your name.

Even if you didn't add the birthday girl as a guest on the reservation, she might still see that you've booked it for yourself if you share plans. Your best bet is to call, and while I can't guarantee a solution, I've found that Cast Members can sometimes create pixie dust out of thin air!

I recommend the Seats & Sweets Dessert Party because I had a fabulous view of Happily Ever After. My friends and I enjoyed sampling desserts and cheeses, and some imbibed in the complimentary champagne and wine. It started raining near the show's end, but we stayed cozy and dry in the covered dining area at Tomorrowland Terrace. A bonus tip is to check in as early as possible to ensure you claim a seat near the railing for a truly magical view.

Kristin, I hope you can surprise the birthday girl on your upcoming visit. She'll feel her heart beat faster when she realizes what you've set up! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
