Hi Faith! Welcome to planDisney. I am so glad you stopped by with this great question. As the designated planner in my own family, I completely understand how important it is to have everything linked, organized, and ready to go before a Disney day begins. When you are traveling with a larger group, a little extra preparation on the front end can make the entire experience feel much more relaxed once you step through the gates.
At this time, the
Disneyland app allows up to ten tickets to be linked to a single
MyDisney account. Since your group includes eleven Guests, you will need to divide the tickets across at least two accounts. The good news is that this process is fairly straightforward. Using the Disneyland app, tap the three-line menu in the bottom-right corner, select Tickets and Passes, and then choose Link Tickets and Passes. From there, you can scan each ticket’s barcode or manually enter the Ticket ID number, whichever option is easiest. Once each account has its portion of the tickets linked, you will be ready to book
Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections during your visit.
There are a couple of helpful tips to keep in mind when managing Lightning Lane Multi Pass with a larger group. First, if all tickets are linked only to one device, that person will need to be present when entering either theme park and when redeeming Lightning Lane return times. To keep things flexible, I recommend that each member of your group download the Disneyland app and link their own ticket as well. Tickets can be linked to multiple accounts at the same time, which makes it much easier for anyone in your party to scan in, check attraction wait times, browse entertainment schedules, or place a mobile food order when snack cravings strike.
Second, to help everyone secure the same Lightning Lane return times, be sure no one in your group has an active Lightning Lane reservation before booking together. Once a return time is selected, Guests cannot book their next Lightning Lane until either 120 minutes have passed or they have scanned into their attraction, whichever comes first. If one person has already scanned in, the rest of the group would need to wait until the timing aligns again.
Since you are visiting with a larger group, there are some attractions that are especially fun to experience together. Filling an entire boat on
Pirates of the Caribbean is a classic Disneyland memory.
Star Tours - The Adventures Continue is another favorite, especially when someone in your group gets selected as the Rebel Spy. For big laughs and shared thrills,
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! is a fantastic choice. And if you are looking for a slower-paced option to regroup, the
Disneyland Railroad offers a relaxing way to enjoy the sights from a comfortable seat.
Faith, if any other planning questions come up, please feel free to visit us again at planDisney. We are always happy to help make your visit as smooth and magical as possible.
Wishing you and your crew a wonderful visit,
