Hi Catharine!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
I’m happy to report that, from my experience, you can purchase
Lightning Lane Multi Pass for your second park of the day as long as you have a valid park hopper ticket linked to your My Disney Experience account.
I personally love to take advantage of those early hours in Animal Kingdom to enjoy the most popular attractions with low standby queues, then use Lightning Lanes at other parks later in the day, too! There are a few things to consider, though, so let’s chat about them.
When
your booking window opens, you’ll want to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Epcot and make your pre-selections for that park. Make sure you pick Lightning Lane return times that will work with your schedule, so you don’t miss them. Although you can modify your Lightning Lanes leading up to your trip and on your park day if your plans change, it’s all based on availability. And some of the most popular rides at Epcot may end up having low availability as the park day goes on.
I’d aim to have your first Lightning Lane pre-selection as close to the time you’ll be getting to Epcot. As soon as you scan into your first Lightning Lane of the day, you’ll be able to book another Lightning Lane. So, you’ll want to open up the ability to do that as soon as possible to get the most out of your Lightning Lane Multi Pass service.
It’s also good to note that you can book 2 Lightning Lane Single Passes per day, and those don’t need to be at the same park if you have a park hopper. I’ve been known to book a Lightning Lane Single Pass for
Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom (even if I don’t have Lightning Lane Multi Pass for that park) AND
Guardians of the Galaxy at Epcot…two of my all-time favorite rides!
Hope that helps! Feel free to come back and visit us if you have any other questions.
