Bright Suns, Louise!
I’m excited to hear that you will soon be traveling to a galaxy “not” so far away. The Jedi wielded the lightsaber to protect and keep the peace in the galaxy for thousands of generations. I’ve had the privilege of building my own at Savi’s Workshop as well. So let’s make the jump to hyperspace and get you the answer you seek.
Based on all of my research, it looks like you can book your reservation for Savi’s Workshop once you arrive in the US. Once you arrive, you can visit the Savi’s Workshop webpage and reserve your day and time. You can also do this via the
My Disney Experience app. Simply download the app, and once logged in, tap on the search icon and look for Savi’s Workshop. From there, you can book a reservation as well. I know you are excited to schedule your visit to Savi’s Workshop, and waiting until you arrive seems like forever, but in my experience, there is quite a bit of availability each day, so I do not foresee any trouble getting a reservation.
While you’re visiting Batuu, you can experience the planet’s amazing cuisine at
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo,
Ronto Roasters, or Oga’s Cantina. I was just there, and I loved the Endorian Fried Tip Yip, which, strangely enough, resembles Earth fried chicken. No visit to Batuu would be complete without stopping by the
Milk Stand for some Blue Milk.
Louise, I hope the force will be with you in your quest to build your very own custom lightsaber, and that you have a magical vacation. If you have any further questions, please stop by, and my fellow panelists and I will be happy to assist you.
Till the Spire,
Robert
