Just book our first (and most likely) only trip to Disney. Didn't realize the dining reservations 180 days ahead are a must. Any insight on how to get a dinner at Chef Mickeys or Be Our Guest or Ohana's. There is no availability. Very disappointed..

Hi, Tara!  Many of the most popular locations do book well in advance.  You happen to have chosen some of the most popular restaurants, and they can book at 180 days in advance.

Here are my suggestions.  For all of them, keep checking back!  I happen to be online just yesterday making some adjustments to our Christmas vacation, and I lucked into a Chef Mickey's reservation, even though there hasn't been one open since my 180 day window opened.  So don't give up!

Be Our Guest only takes reservations for dinner.  If you swap your Be Our Guest preference to lunch, it's a counter service restaurant at lunch time, so you'll get to enjoy the incredibly themed atmosphere without a reservation.

Are you interested in Chef Mickey's for the characters?  Is there a character in particular you are hoping to see?  Perhaps you can find availability at another restaurant that features the characters you are hoping to see.  I often have last minute luck booking the Garden Grill at EPCOT or sometimes the Cape May breakfast buffet at the Beach Club resort.

'Ohana is a tough one.  If you want to eat at the Polynesian Resort, try to book Kona Cafe.  The food there is very good, and you'll be surrounded by the tropical Polynesian atmosphere.

I hope you have a great vacation!
