I would like to book a family vacation in Aug 2025 using my points from 2024 snd DLL my points from 2025. I need more points can I borrow from 2026

Welcome Home, Helen - and welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by. I see you're trying to navigate the ins and outs of your Disney Vacation Club membership and how to use your Vacation Points to maximize your magic. It's my pleasure to assist, one Member to another - let's get right to it!

Banking and borrowing is serious DVC business, Helen! It can definitely be a bit confusing when you're thinking through how points can be combined from multiple Use Years to make a longer vacation or a stay in accommodations that require more points, so let's walk through it.

Our family has a June Use Year, so here's how I would use points for a vacation in August 2025:
    1. 2024 Points were allocated on June 1, 2024, and expire on May 31, 2025. To put these toward the August 2025 vacation, they must be banked by January 31, 2025 (four months before the end of the Use Year). Take a peek at this handy chart of banking deadlines from the DVC website - I have this bookmarked!
    2. 2025 Points will come on June 1, 2025, and can be used for this reservation.
    3. 2026 Points can be borrowed for the booking, as the 2026 Use Year (starting June 1, 2026) is immediately after the Use Year in which the reservation falls.
Helen, I don't know what your Use Year is, and that is an important detail when figuring this out - so this will just be an example. Your best bet is to call Member Services, who can pull up the specifics of your Membership and advise you as to how points can be used.

I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes and that you can use your Membership for the Disney adventure you're dreaming of! Thanks again for visiting planDisney, and please don't hesitate to come back again if we can help with any other questions.
