Hey there, Patience - great to see you again at planDisney! I'm so glad you came back with another excellent vacation planning question.
Disney Vacation Club math is serious business, and I'm happy to help out a fellow Member to figure out how you can maximize your magic. Let's get right to it!
The ins and outs of DVC Membership can be a little confusing at times when you're trying to navigate
banking and borrowing rules, plan for future vacations, and make sure you can use your
Vacation Points how you want to. I am always double- and triple-checking my math anytime I'm planning our next Disney adventure!
Patience, you are right on the money with how your Vacation Points are distributed for the next few years. Since points can only be moved between
Use Years once, the points from your 2023 Use Year that were banked into 2024 will expire on November 30, 2025. This means that, unfortunately, you cannot use them for a vacation in December 2025.
However, you will be able to access the points from your
2025 Use Year that begins on December 1, 2025, and borrow points from your
2026 Use Year if you don't have enough for the accommodations you're hoping for (since the reservation falls in your 2025 Use Year).
Christmas is always such a special time at the Disney parks - I'm not sure where your 2025 holiday plans will take you, but hopefully you will be able to enjoy a memorable family trip wherever you choose! Thanks so much for making a return trip to planDisney, Patience, and please come see us again anytime if we can help with other questions about your Disney Vacation Club Membership or tips to add a little extra pixie dust to your travels.
Stay Magical!
Susan
