Hello there, Isabella!
Welcome to planDisney. It's so nice to meet you, and I’m thrilled to hear you have an upcoming visit to Walt Disney World! It’s going to be such a great trip, I’m sure. Since you are coming during the summer, I recommend packing some raincoats or disposable ponchos with you. I’ve experienced a quick rain shower during most of my summer visits, so it is good to travel with those just in case. I also like to use mine for
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, only to preserve my hair. My family thinks this is funny, but I’m thinking about all my
Photopass Photos!
Isabella, you’ll be happy to hear that you can go ahead and add the dining plan to your current reservation at a later date. Which
dining plan are you considering? My family is an on-the-go family, so we usually visit with the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. However, since you are visiting during the summer, I recommend the Disney Dining Plan instead. The reason why is that scheduling those included Table-Service meals comes in handy when trying to escape the heat throughout the day. My little ones refuse to leave the parks for a break, so a longer indoor meal is their happy medium. Plus, you can use your Table-Service credits towards a character meal! We chose
Tusker House and
Hollywood Vine & Dine for our meals during our trip. Both were such a fun experience!
I also like the dining plan being booked as part of my
Disney vacation package because it helps with budgeting. Since it is all bundled and paid for before you arrive, I find that it’s easier to keep track of the family budget. Especially because all I have to worry about is souvenirs and any bonus snacks my family wants to enjoy. Plus, it helps me keep track of what was spent and what we have left to spend to stay on the budget we’ve planned for.
I hope this helps give you an idea of the benefits of visiting with a dining plan, Isabella. When you are ready to add your dining plan to your existing package you’ll want to give the Walt Disney World
a call. A Cast Member there will be more than happy to add that on for you and answer any other questions you may have about the dining plan. I do recommend making that decision as soon as possible especially if you are thinking about adding the Disney Dining Plan. That way you can start
scheduling your dining reservations 60 days before your arrival date.
Enjoy!
