Ahoy, Michael! A
land and sea adventure is one of my favorite ways to experience all the magic of Disney in one trip, so I’m so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question before taking off.
I’m happy to report that your bags will go directly to the ship from your Disney Resort. One of the many features I love about booking my
ground transportation directly through Disney Cruise Line is how hassle-free it is. You’ll receive digital instructions from your resort about your shuttle departure time and when to put your luggage outside of your resort room for pick-up. (Just be sure to place the
luggage tags provided by Disney Cruise Line on each checked bag first). From there, head to your shuttle at your appointed time and your luggage will be delivered directly to your stateroom that afternoon.
Michael, keep in mind that because you won’t be seeing your bags for a few hours, you’ll want to keep some important items in your carry-on bag, including medications, travel necessities, and
citizenship documentation. I also like to pack a swimsuit, sunscreen, and Minnie Ears in my carry-on so our family is ready for fun the minute we step onto the ship! I also bring an
insulated cup for each member of my family so we can enjoy the complimentary soft drinks, coffee, and tea offered at stations around the pool and we always know whose cup is whose.
I hope this news makes planning for your upcoming cruise even more enjoyable. Should you have any other questions, don't hesitate to sail back to us here at
planDisney!
Embrace the magic,
Sami
