Welcome to planDisney, Mande! I am so glad you came here to ask us a question about booking a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
You can book a vacation package with hotel, theme park tickets, and rental car at this time. When on the site, you can reserve your reservation with just a $200 deposit. Your final payment is due 30 days prior to your arrival, and you can make changes or payments at any time on the
MyDisneyExperience website. I find that it is always easier to take things OFF of a reservation, rather than adding it TO a package, so I would recommend booking all of the things you might need and then changing it accordingly. Don't forget about
Memory Maker!
Once you book your vacation package, you will want to be sure to link your reservation on your MyDisneyExperience. Once that is done, you can make your
theme park reservations for your trip. I know it is a lot to think about right away, but these can usually be changed, so I recommend booking them ASAP.
At 60 days before your trip, you will be able to begin booking dining reservations if you plan to try some of the awesome Disney restaurants. My family usually books one sit-down meal for each day, just so we know that we will have a break with some delicious food. In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a family favorite is the 50’s Prime Time Café. The “A Sampling of Mom’s Favorite Recipes” is large enough for two people to share, with enough room for dessert! I have also just discovered
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom. It was delicious, and we ate mostly appetizers for lunch.
I hope this helps with your planning! Please come back and visit us again with more Walt Disney World vacation questions!
Happy Traveling,
Tracy
