How do I book Disney hotel reservations?

Hey there, Heidi! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm so excited that you've decided to take the plunge and make reservations for an upcoming stay at Walt Disney World Resort! There is so much magic that awaits you even before you arrive at your Resort! In fact, sometimes I feel like the anticipation of a trip is half the fun.  After making your Guest room reservations (always my number one priority) make sure to grab your Theme Park Tickets, Theme Park Reservations and even Advance Dining Reservations.  There's so much excitement ahead!

To start booking a stay at one of the fabulous Disney Resorts Collection hotels you'll want to think about the time of year that you plan on arriving.  Whether you choose to celebrate the winter holidays, join us for the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival in the spring, get a little spooky with Mickey in the fall, or spend the summer days soaking up the sun at the Water Parks, you'll find that every season is a perfect one for a vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth.

After deciding on your vacation dates head to the Walt Disney World Resort website and click on "Places to Stay".  Here, you'll be able to browse the more than 25 Disney Resorts that fit every family's style and budget.  I would encourage you to also look at the "Panel Extras" section of the planDisney website, where you'll find Disney Resort Hotels Pocket Guides that will give you just the right amount of information to help you decide on a practically perfect place to stay.

Once you've decided on your Resort and dates you'll see approximate room rates for each night of your stay. Click the Resort you wish to reserve and then the type of Guest room you would like.  Depending on which Resort you choose you'll probably be able to book a Preferred room, which will be close to the dining, shopping and bus stop at the Resort, or rooms that have special views such as Pool View, Lake View, or even Theme Park View!  Simply follow the prompts to continue with your purchase, which can include Theme Park Tickets and add-ons like the Park Hopper Option.

If you would rather choose your Resort and then speak with a Cast Member to book your reservation over the phone you can do that too! Simply call the Disney Resorts Reservations line at (407) 939-1936 to set those magical plans in motion!

While you're visiting, make sure to take time to check out the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction! I was able to ride this thrilling one-of-a-kind experience in May and I'm counting down the days until I can get back down to my happy place and do it again.  It is definitely a "must-try" attraction!

Enjoy planning your trip and come back to see us again with any other questions!
