If I book a Disney Hotel 6-8 months before my intended stay and a deal/discount becomes available before my check-in date, can I receive a refund on the difference or rebook at the discounted rate?

Welcome to planDisney, Oddis! Trying to determine the right time to book your visit to the Disneyland Resort can feel a bit tricky, but I’m happy to help you navigate the calendar and find the best time to head to the Happiest Place on Earth.

I have some good news to help you plan with confidence. If a special offer becomes available before you check in to your Disneyland Resort hotel, you can verify whether it can be applied to your existing reservation. Just head to the “View Offers and Discounts” page on the Disneyland website. On the right-hand side, you’ll see “Have an Existing Reservation?” Click the link, and you’ll be taken to the “My Hotel Reservations” page, where you can check eligibility. I recommend applying the offer as soon as possible, as rooms available under promotions are limited. For the latest on hotel and ticket discounts, the Disney Parks Blog is a fantastic resource.

Since you're considering a trip during the Holiday Season, get ready for a sleigh-full of festive fun! At Disneyland, Sleeping Beauty Castle shimmers with twinkling lights and icicle-like magic during the enchanting Wintertime Enchantment moments. Over in Fantasyland, the façade of “it’s a small world” holiday glows with thousands of lights, and inside, the children of the world sing cheerful seasonal tunes and share holiday traditions from across the globe. Another seasonal favorite, Haunted Mansion Holiday, features Jack Skellington turning the mansion into a ghoulishly jolly celebration straight from Halloween Town.

Across the esplanade in Disney California Adventure, the Festival of Holidays will be in full swing, celebrating diverse winter traditions through music, dance, and cuisine. Don’t miss the Festive Foods Marketplace, where you can sample seasonal bites inspired by global holiday dishes. Buena Vista Street dazzles with vintage holiday décor, and Cars Land shifts into “haul-iday” gear with imaginative decorations and themed ride overlays like Mater’s Jingle Jamboree and Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl.

And Oddis, don’t forget: Mickey and his pals appear in their festive best, and Santa Claus makes appearances in both parks. For the ultimate holiday experience, here’s a Q-Tip: spend an evening on Main Street, U.S.A. It’s the perfect spot to catch A Christmas Fantasy Parade, enjoy the nightly snowfall, and experience the awe-inspiring Believe… in Holiday Magic fireworks show. The view of Sleeping Beauty Castle framed in holiday lights is pure magic.
